Put your idea to the test at SafeCare BC’s Safety Den

Do you have an idea or innovation that will help prevent workplace injuries, and improve the health and safety of continuing care workers? SafeCare BC wants to hear from you!

SafeCare BC is holding its third-annual Safety Den, an exciting Dragon’s Den-style competition that highlights safety innovations in both long-term care, home care, and community and health support.

Three finalists will be selected to compete for cash prizes at the Safety Den, which will be held at the 2018 BCCPA Annual Conference on Monday, May 28th.

The finalists will present their safety innovations to a panel of judges called Safety Dragons. Probing questions from the Dragons, moderator and audience will make for an entertaining and interactive experience.

NEW! Commercial category to showcase innovation at Safety Den

A new opportunity has been established for our commercial members. The popular Safety Den event is being expanded with the new Safety Innovation of the Year category for companies wanting to promote a great idea or invention.

In a Dragon’s Den style competition, a group of three commercial finalists will pitch their innovative safety idea or product that will reduce workplace injuries. Questions from our Dragons and the audience will make for an entertaining and interactive experience. Put your idea to the test with our delegates, and our panel of Safety Dragons will award one organization with the Safety Innovation of the Year.

Through the Safety Den, you will have an opportunity to profile your product in front of an audience of 200 service provider delegates.  The three finalists will also be profiled through e-newsletters, web and social media for both associations reaching an even greater audience.

Apply Now!

To apply in either the non-commercial or commercial Safety Den categories, tell us about your safety innovation in a 2-minute video or a word submission of 300 words or less. Submissions should be emailed to Ken Donohue at kdonohue@safecarebc.caThe deadline for submissions is April 13th.
