Gevity selected to support BCCPA’s home support, quality assurance initiative

Gevity Inc. (“Gevity”) has been selected to conduct research and industry outreach for BC Care Providers Association in the development of a quality assurance program for privately run home support providers.

Announced in January, the home support quality assurance initiative seeks to establish a QA model which is embraced by B.C.’s home support sector, that is accessible to providers of all sizes, and founded upon best practices.

“Home support providers were telling BCCPA that there is an opportunity to raise awareness around best practices and quality standards in home support,” says Rebecca Morris, Manager, Public Affairs for Home Care and Assisted Living.

“In developing a QA program for home support providers, we can help companies who want to grow their reputations for delivering reliable, excellent service, and at the same time we can help seniors and their families make informed choices about private home support.”

The Gevity team will begin a province-wide consultation with home health providers in April.
