SSQIP basic application guidelines and eligibility criteria now available

Today, BC Care Providers Association published the basic guidelines and eligibility criteria for the Seniors Safety and Quality Improvement Program (SSQIP).

We would like to thank the SSQIP Advisory Committee that is comprised of appointed representatives from the following organizations that work with care providers in B.C.:

  • BC Ministry of Health (one rep)
  • Denominational Health Association (one rep)
  • SafeCare BC (one rep)
  • BC Care Providers (two reps)

The basic guidelines and eligibility criteria were developed based on the findings from the SSQIP needs assessment survey which ran from November 1 to 17. The needs assessment, conducted by the Howegroup, focused on current and future needs by care home providers to support the effective and safe delivery of high quality seniors care in the province.

The basic guidelines, eligibility criteria and top SSQIP FAQs can be reviewed here.

“I’m so grateful to all those who took the time to complete the survey that has helped us develop the guidelines and eligibility criteria,” says BCCPA Director of Programs Snezana Ristovski.
