Last evening, the BC Care Providers Association recognized the exceptional dedication of everyday front-line workers, staff, and care providers across B.C. in the 4th Annual BC Care Awards held at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria. The event was especially memorable as the ceremony doubled as a celebration of the provincial government’s proclamation of Feb. 20th as the official Senior Care Providers’ Day.
The Honourable Dr. Terry Lake, Minister of Health attended the ceremony and presented the awards for Long-Service Excellence, Care Provider of the Year [home care and residential care] and Innovation of the Year. Thank you to all the members of the B.C. Legislature who joined the celebration; along with our award winners and their loved ones, who came to recognize the remarkable efforts of the four outstanding BC Care Award recipients. It was a very special day indeed!
