Last night the BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) hosted the 3rd Annual Care Awards ceremony at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, B.C. The award for B.C. Care Provider of the Year went to Irene Lien, a housekeeper at Northcrest Care Centre in Delta.
“We are honoured to present the B.C. Care Provider of the Year award to Irene Lien,” says BCCPA CEO Daniel Fontaine. “Irene goes above and beyond her duties as housekeeper to provide care for the residents in her unit. Over her 20-plus years at Northcrest, she has proven her dedication to her co-workers, the residents and their families. Congratulations to Irene on her well-deserved award.”
The awards were presented by B.C. Minister of Health Hon. Terry Lake. There were over 30 MLAs in attendance, including Parliamentary Secretary for Seniors Darryl Plecas.
