“Fiscally Frail” Care to Chat Event Sold Out

The upcoming Care to Chat event on February 4th featuring keynote speaker Stephen Brown, Deputy Minister of Health in B.C. and four Health Authority Chief Financial Officers is now officially sold out. The event is titled Fiscally Frail: How Will We Meet The Health Needs Of An Aging Society In An Era Of Limited Budgets?

“This has been a great partnership between the BC Care Providers Association and the Canadian College of Health Leaders,” says Daniel Fontaine, CEO for the BCCPA. “Working together we’ve been able to attract a capacity crowd to hear about the fiscal challenges facing BC’s continuing care sector as well as how we can address them while maintaining a high standard of quality.”

Attendees at the sold out event will be using interactive technology which will allow them to pose questions directly to the panelists through their smart phone. This is the third time the BCCPA has used this system as a way of facilitating better audience engagement.

The four CFOs participating in the panel discussion include:

  • Glen Copping, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Systems Development & Performance, Vancouver Coastal Health
  • Kim Kerrone, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Island Health
  • Martin Pochurko, Chief Financial Officer, Fraser Health
  • Donna Lommer, Vice President Residential Services & Chief Financial Officer Interior Health

The next Care to Chat event will be taking place in April with details posted on our website next month. If you are a member of BCCPA and would like to attend other workshops and events, be sure to click on our events tab for a complete listing.
