Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond in delivering or supporting care for residents and clients in long-term care, assisted living and home health? The BC Care Provider of the Year Award is awarded to a care provider or support worker employed by one of our members who has demonstrated a commitment to quality, compassion and excellence in their work. Nominate an individual or employee who you feel deserves an acknowledgment for their passion and contribution!
Eligibility Criteria
- The nominator must provide specific examples to help support how the employee demonstrated a commitment to quality, compassion and excellence.
- Examples cited must go beyond the average daily interactions between an employee and individuals in care.
- Demonstrate how this commitment may have already been recognized by their colleagues, supervisor, resident, or a member of their family.

Nominations are due November 12th, 2021. All nominees will be celebrated on our website.
Award winners will travel to Victoria and spend two nights at the beautiful Fairmont Empress. They will be presented their awards at a cocktail reception sponsored by McKesson Canada on February 22, 2022. The following day they will participate in a Delegate Day to the BC Legislature where they will meet with elected officials and will be recognized during Question Period.
