It is with great sadness that BC Care Providers Association announces the passing of Patricia McCormack.
Patricia served as Account Manager at Handicare from 2012-2018. Members of the BCCPA and SafeCare BC team remember Patricia for her kindness, passion, and the wealth of knowledge and experience she brought to her job.
“Patricia was respected and loved by the entire BCCPA family, where she was not just a colleague, but a friend to all,” says Aly Devji, BCCPA Board President-Elect. “She was an exemplary ambassador for Handicare as well as for the BC Care Providers Association as a whole.”
“Our association is a close-knit group of individuals who all truly care for the seniors and vulnerable persons of British Columbia. We also truly care for each other. We are all deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and colleague, however, we must honor her legacy by coming together, cherishing each other, finding every opportunity to help one another, and more importantly—always finding a reason to smile. That would have been Patricia’s way.”
“Those of us who were fortunate enough to know Patricia benefited frequently from her warm and caring spirit,” says Philip Marmina, Regional VP at Handicare.
“In her role as an Account Manager, she worked passionately and tirelessly in collaboration with her customers to develop solutions that resulted in greater caregiver and client safety. Her knowledge and experience made her an invaluable resource that was called upon often by her fellow employees. She will be missed by her customers in Fraser Health and Vancouver and by the entire Handicare team,” Marmina adds.
The BCCPA team offers its heartfelt condolences to Patricia’s family, friends and colleagues at Handicare. Please read her obituary here.
