In 2012, the BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) made an application with WorkSafeBC to establish a new workplace safety association for the continuing care sector — SafeCare BC. Based on a successful model in Alberta, SafeCare BC will help reduce the severity and frequency of workplace injuries.
A final informational teleforum will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. (PDT). The focus will be on ‘next steps for SafeCare BC.’ The BCCPA is hopeful that WorkSafeBC will then provide us with positive news regarding our application. 1. What are the preliminary 2014 WorkSafeBC insurance rates for the continuing care sector?
2. Overview of consultations undertaken for SafeCare BC and what are next steps for the new association?
