Latest updates from SafeCare BC

We would like to share news from our sector partner SafeCare BC, who are responsible for training and education on occupational health and safety for BC’s continuing care sector – including contracted long-term care and privately delivered home health. Here are highlights from their latest information bulletin.

Annual Report

Ahead of SafeCare BC’s Annual General Meeting, they have shared their share our 2021 Annual Report.

From launching their vaccination information campaign in January to hosting the biggest Hearts and Hands in October 2021 their team has been busy creating resources and initiatives to support their members through the challenging year.

Flu Vaccination Survey

In partnership with Simon Fraser University, SafeCare BC has created a short survey to understand the experiences of people working in British Columbia’s Care Sector with flu vaccination. The purpose of this survey is to learn about perceptions of the flu vaccine, concerns and motivations to get vaccinated, and to understand where information is best received about the flu vaccine, and how this information could be made more effective. The experiences you share will be used by SafeCare BC to improve resources and communications with you and its partner organizations.

Safety Den

SafeCare BC‘s Safety Den will be back for #BCCPA2022 Annual Conference in June. Submit your ideas to the Safety Den for a chance to win $1000.
