Care providers thank Clorox Canada for donations of cleaning products

Clorox Canada has donated cleaning products to members of BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC, as part of a program to recognize the efforts of frontline workers in the fight against COVID-19. With assistance from Iron Mountain Canada Corp., donations will be sent to 164 members in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island, reaching over 19,000 residents.

“It is heartening to see organizations step up to support those on the front lines of this pandemic and the most vulnerable in our communities,” says BCCPA Acting CEO Mike Klassen. “We thank Clorox for their generous donation which will help long-term care operators with infection prevention and control to make care sites safer for residents and staff. We also thank Iron Mountain Canada Corp. for helping to distribute the donations to BCCPA members.”

Donated products include CloroxŽ Clean-UpŽ Cleaner + Bleach, CloroxŽ Disinfecting Wipes, CloroxŽ Germicidal Bleach and CloroxŽ Performance Bleach.

“We know that the most vulnerable in our population—the elderly and frontline workers—are most at risk from this disease,” says Dave Iacobelli, President and General Manager of Clorox Canada. “Without resources, this risk increases. We have been partnering with provincial governments across Canada to support the long-term care community throughout the pandemic.”

“It has been a great privilege to work with the BC Care Providers team to support our local communities within the province during these unprecedented times,” says Steve Quimby, Territory Business Director, Iron Mountain Western Canada. “We are all in this together and supporting our most vulnerable is near and dear to us all.”
