Last week BC Care Providers Association learned of the Government of B.C.’s decision to expropriate over 4,000 community health workers and move them into positions working for government. This decision had not been informed by consultations with the sector, or the seniors being served by B.C.’s non-government home support providers.
This week, advocate Jim Mann is questioning why seniors were not consulted in the decision to move home support services into government.
