BCCPA launches #HomesNotHospitals campaign

Ahead of the B.C. general election, BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) has officially launched Homes Not Hospitals, a new public awareness campaign calling for action among candidates to ensure seniors can access the care they need in the right place, at the right time.

For too long, hospitals have been filling a gap they were never designed to fill. Seniors who need long-term care and supportive living deserve access to appropriate homes and care, not prolonged stays in hospital.

Homes Not Hospitals highlights the growing pressures facing seniors’ care in B.C. and the urgent need for investment and action to expand access to seniors’ living, wellness, and care options.

The campaign website features our 5-Point Plan and an advocacy tool that enables supporters to send letters directly to their provincial election candidates.

Spread the word by sharing the campaign with your networks and following BCCPA’s social media channels for updates, resources, and opportunities to get involved!

Together, we can help ensure seniors have a home, not a hospital bed.
