BCCPA Board gathers to advance work behind the 2025-2027 Strategic Plan

Last week, BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) Board of Directors gathered in Richmond, B.C., to help guide the Association’s 2025–2027 Strategic Plan.

The two-day retreat opened with a presentation from Framepoint Public Affairs, who facilitated the strategic planning session. The presentation provided an overview of British Columbia’s current political landscape, highlighted emerging issues affecting the seniors living and care sector, and helped frame the Association’s key advocacy priorities for the coming year.

BCCPA CEO Mary Polak provided a year-in-review presentation and shared updates on important areas including budget priorities and membership value.

Board discussions focused on several key advocacy priorities, including the expansion of the Health Employers Association of BC (HEABC), the Residential Tenancy Act, and long-term care and assisted living funding models. These conversations gave the Board an opportunity to align on positions and priorities for the year ahead.

The retreat concluded with a roundup of key takeaways and a Board meeting.
