Upcoming Care to Chat to feature Clinical Consultant and PAC Certified Independent Trainer, Jennifer Roach

BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is pleased to announce Jennifer Roach as a panelist for the upcoming Care to Chat session on dementia care, happening this February 20th at the Surrey Civic Hotel.

Since 2008, Jennifer has been an experienced consultant providing education and assessment services for Arjo customers in the areas of Safe Patient Handling, hygiene, disinfection, and pressure injury prevention. She holds a Positive Approach to Dementia Care Independent Trainer certification and remains an active member of Teepa Snow’s PAC organization, teaching dementia workshops in knowledge and physical care skills for care providers in B.C. In 2022, she completed an Industry Skin Wellness Associate (ISWA) designation through the Nurses Specialized in Wounds Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC) Institute.

Prior to joining Arjo, Jennifer graduated with honours from Humber Institute of Technology’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program and worked in long-term care, rehabilitation centres and private clinics in the Greater Toronto area. Jennifer is passionate about fostering a holistic approach to care in her teaching, with an emphasis on good physical and cognitive assessment, because as Teepa says, “in the right setting and with the right support, everyone can shine.”
