In the realms of long-term care, home to one of society’s most frail populations of older adults, palliative care serves as an indispensable pillar of support, offering solace and comfort to the individual and their families.
With our population aging and an increase in those residing in long-term care in their final chapters of life, the demand for palliative care services within these settings will continue to grow. As such, understanding the challenges and opportunities in providing effective and compassionate palliative care in long-term care has never been more pertinent.
