BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is pleased to announce that, due to great demand, the 2022-2023 EquipCare BC funds have now been fully subscribed. The EquipCare application system is officially closed as of February 6th and grant funds for approved applications will be paid by the end of March 2023.
The latest EquipCare BC program was open for a one-year term at $8 million to bring vital infection control as well as safety and quality of life items to publicly funded long-term care and assisted living operators across the province.
BCCPA would like to acknowledge B.C.’s Ministry of Health for awarding the EquipCare BC grant funding and providing ongoing program support. To date, the EquipCare BC program has been allocated a total of $28 million in funding since its 2017 inception.
BCCPA would also like to thank those organizations who have applied for EquipCare BC 2022-2023 funding and those who submitted letters of support for BCCPA’s newest 2023-2025 EquipCare BC funding application, which is currently under funder review.
The Ministry of Health is actively considering a request for a two-year $15 million renewal of the program with an additional $3 million earmarked for climate mitigation projects. Please consider calling your local MLA to let them know how important this program is to providers and their residents.
