BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC are excited to celebrate exceptional individuals who provide the best quality of care to B.C. seniors at the 10th Annual BC Care Awards, which will be held at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria, B.C. in February 2024. At the ceremony, BCCPA member organizations and elected officials will come together to applaud our winners.
Last year, we celebrated award recipients like Cathy Naismith, Health Care Aid at Beacon Community Association’s Licensed Dementia Care Homes, who won the 2023  BC Care Provider of the Year Award in Long-Term Care.
Cathy was recognized for her authenticity in fostering a safe and trusting environment for residents and staff. She is a not only an HCA to residents, but more importantly a friend to them. Her reliability, hardworking ethos, honesty and natural ease with people shine through every day. In her care, residents are treated with utmost dignity and respect.
At the awards ceremony, Cathy accepted her award from B.C. Minister of Health, Adrian Dix, and was applauded by her colleagues, friends and family.
