BCCPA and EngAge BC announce new hires

BC Care Providers Association and EngAge BC are pleased to announce the hiring of two new members of our team.

Lauren LaPorte and Viktoriya Mazyavina are bringing their experience and talent to the dynamic BCCPA/EngAge BC team to help us achieve important goals for the seniors’ care and living sector.

Joining our team as Events and Marketing Coordinator is Lauren LaPorte.

Lauren graduated from the BCIT Events Management and Marketing program and brings a wealth of experience from her years at PRIME Event Partners.

She will provide support in the creation, management, and marketing of our suite of events. We are excited to harness her skill set as we move into the virtual space for many of our events.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time at English Bay, playing board games with friends, drinking and learning about wine, travelling (when safe to do so) and live music events. During the COVID-19 quarantine, she has learnt how to knit and has been experimenting in her kitchen with new recipes.

Lauren will report to Cathy Szmaus, VP, Operations and Corporate Partnerships.

Viktoriya joins BCCPA as Programs Administrator and will be dedicated to customer service and timely delivery of grant payments to HCA students and EquipCare BC applicants, answering public inquiries for Route 65, and ensuring operator listings are up-to-date on the site. She will provide administration support to new and upcoming program expansions.

Viktoriya has a Marketing Management Diploma from BCIT and brings her client experience as a Providence Health Care Clerk at Lions Gate Hospital where she interviewed patients and family members wanting to obtain registration information as well as assisted physicians seeking documents and records.

In her spare time, Viktoriya enjoys activities such as family excursions, nature hikes and world travel. She enjoys acrylic painting and has a strong passion for crafts.

Viktoriya will report to Director of Programs Snezana Ristovski.

Welcome, Lauren and Viktoriya!
