Therese Guieb Joins BCCPA Communications Department

The BC Care Providers is pleased to announce that Therese Guieb will be joining the team as our new Communications and Stakeholder Relations Coordinator effective February 6th. Guieb previously worked for the Capilano News as a Community Relations Manager and Executive News Editor.  She has obtained her Bachelor of Communications from Capilano University.

“It’s great to have someone of Therese’s enthusiasm and expertise join the team and help to increase our overall communications capacity,” says Daniel Fontaine, CEO for the BCCPA. “We are increasingly moving into the world of digital communications and social media and Therese will help us to expand those services.”

Guieb did a practicum with the MS Society of British Columbia in 2015. In her new role with the BCCPA, she will work closely with Mike Klassen, VP of Communications and Stakeholder Relations.

“Adding Therese to the team will certainly allow us to increase our overall level of both internal and external communications,” says Klassen. “One of the key parts of our strategic plan is to better connect with our rural members by using technology and we’ll have some exciting news to report on that in the months to come.”

Some of Guieb’s responsibilities include writing news articles, liaising the local and regional media and drafting communication materials for our Annual Conference.
