Zion Park Manor
Family values, fellowship and comfort within a Christian community.
The Manor was originally built in 1971 with 48 beds as an outreach program of Zion Lutheran Church. The goal was to provide a range of accommodation and care services based upon Christian values and principles. The Lutheran Senior Citizens’ Housing Society is a registered charitable organization that was created to oversee the management of the facility. This Society is still in place and has now been dedicated to providing care to seniors for over 40 years. Board Directors’ generously volunteer their time to ensure that the Manor serves our elders in the best way possible.
In 1980, the Manor was expanded to add 42 intermediate care beds, bringing the total to 90 government-funded beds. Thirty-two of the original rooms were demolished in 1988 to make room for a 68 bed multi-level care addition that was completed during the summer of 1999…Continue reading.

Castleview Care Centre
Compassionate Care in the Kootenays!
Castleview Care Centre (CVCC) is a 61 bed accredited complex care facility located in Castlegar in the beautiful West Kootenay Valley of British Columbia. Built in 1991, Castleview is bright, spacious and clean.
There is a large center foyer with skylight which is a favourite gathering area for our residents. Our large full window dining room is also a special place, offering 3 main meals featuring choices of meat, vegetarian and special diet foods, as well as 2 snack times between meals and at bedtime.
The living room area, furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs, is a place for both small gatherings and large special events such as local choirs, bands, dancers, teas and parties. There are several smaller focus areas for sitting and smaller rooms for resident and family visits…Continue reading.
