Minister of Health To Address Continuing Care Sector

The stage is set for a sold-out event whereby Minister of Health Terry Lake will address over 350 attendees regarding his vision for the future of seniors care in BC.

“We were able to sell out this event in a matter of weeks,” says Daniel Fontaine, CEO for the BC Care Providers Association. “There is clearly a genuine interest from the continuing care sector to hear from the Minister regarding what types of programs and initiatives the provincial government sees as a priority for BC’s seniors in the years to come.” terrylake

The lunch event will take place on Wednesday, October 9th at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel and is open to the media. The Minister is expected to make his remarks at approximately 12:30 pm. A special hashtag #LunchwithLake will be used during the event for those unable to attend.

After his keynote address, Minister Lake will sit down for a brief Q & A session with Fontaine. Members from the BCCPA along with our co-hosts the Denominational Health Association and the BC Seniors Living Association have submitted a number of questions that will be posed during the Q& A portion of the event.
